Well I got to check out a magic show last night.   It was pretty cool as I’ve never been to a magic show before.  The show Real Magic featuring Kalin and Jinger.  I’ve seen a lot of magic shows on TV before but it was quite a different experience to see some of the classic magic tricks up close and personal.   There was some slight of hand tricks and the old sawing a woman in half trick.  Mixed in with the tricks there was quite a bit of humor.  It was a good time and I had lots of fun.

Well I picked Spider-Man 3: The Game yesterday.  I must say, in the little bit that I’ve played so far, it’s a heck of a lot of fun.  Even though Spider-Man is a fictional character, I would say this game is the closest you could get to living the life of Spider-Man.  You can swing around New York and have all of that wacky web crawler’s abilities at your disposal.  I haven’t done a lot of the missions yet but I did get to lay the smack-down on some naughty criminals.  Good fun, I highly recommend it if you looking for a good time.

Looking for a fun game to play this weekend? Well, Steam is offering a free trial The Ship this weekend. I played it the last time there was a free weekend and I had tons of fun. The premise is that you are on a ship and you have to kill another person on the ship without anyone else seeing you do it. Also there is someone out to kill you as well so you have to be careful. In a way it’s kinda of like The Sims meets a murder mystery.

I set up a gaming website yesterday. Using the wonderful Drupal software, I now have a meeting place for my friends to get together so we can get our game on. Not much there now but I will work on it as time permits.

Well I wanted to see what it would be like to set up my own game server so I did just that with Counter Strike 1.6. It was pretty easy to set up. Just had to download the server files and run a few commands and everything was up and running. If you would like to check it out just go to games.evil-monkey.org.

A friend of mine shared with me a funny video that I just had to post about. This video follows 2 lonely guys and their life in the wonderful world of D&D. For those out there that may not know D&D stands for Dungeons and Dragons, which is a role playing game loved by many a geek both young and old. This is a must see if you are famliar with the whole geeky role playing game scene and would even extend to all those fans of games like World of Warcraft and Everquest.
